The fifty dormitory rooms at Greater Works Outreach Bible School are well maintained and nicely appointed. All rooms are double occupancy with two desks, two chairs, two bookcases, two reading lamps, two windows, two closets, two medicine chests, two mirrors, two chests of drawers and two twin beds. Both floors of housing feature wall to wall carpeting throughout. Single occupancy is only available if student enrollment merits it.
The classrooms utilized by the Bible School are more than adequate in size, with good lighting and ample desk space creating an excellent learning climate. Tape recording of individual sessions is welcome. Classroom participation is always encouraged.
The GWO Bible School library, known as the “Wisdom Room,” was inspired by a visit from the well-known “wisdom” teacher, Mike Murdock. The room was established in September 1990. The library contains anointed teaching and study materials to enhance the students’ study and search for Godly wisdom. A variety of materials have been provided by the school and donations from several of God’s people who have caught the vision for the school. Available for use are reference materials, including commentaries, concordances, Bible dictionaries and atlases, plus audio and visual materials.
During the school year, our librarians (Bible School students or staff) are available to aid students in locating and signing out materials. We maintain flexible hours for day and evening students so that everyone has the opportunity to use the Wisdom Room.
A computer lab with internet access is available to all students.
The chapel in the Bible School accommodates approximately 100 students. The fifteen foot stone and stained glass backdrop is a beautiful sight to behold. The peaceful atmosphere of the chapel makes it a perfect place for a time of meditation and prayer. Chapel services throughout the semester are required for all day students.
The Bible School dining room is a cozy gathering place for mealtime fellowship as well as food. The meals are well balanced and the portions are ample. The coffeepot is always on between class breaks. Students who commute are able to purchase a lunch ticket for a $3 charge.
The recreation room, located adjacent to the dining room, is a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing afternoon or evening after classes conclude. Some activities include ping-pong, pool table and various board games.
